A rosary service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St.
Johns Catholic Church for Josephine A. Duran, 86, of Roswell who passed away July 2, 2007, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A resurrection mass is scheduled for Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M., of St. Johns
Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Josephine was born on June 18, 1921 in Duran, New Mexico to Macario Aragon and Vicenta Anaya Aragon. Both parents have proceeded in her in death as well as sons,
Manuel Duran, Rumaldo Duran, and Billy Duran; Daughters: Genevieva Duran and
Helen Duran.
Josephine is survived by her sons: Ricky Duran of Roswell, Gene Duran of
Albuquerque and Robert Duran and wife Carmen of Albuquerque; Daughters: Josehpine
Hernandez and husband Tony of Roswell, Mary Espinoza of Roswell, Terry Chavez and
Ernie Silva of Roswell, Evelyn Silva of Albuquerque, Judy Arguello of Roswell and
Louis Gonzales of Roswell; her daughter in law; Mary Duran of Roswell; as well as 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
Josephine moved from Carrizozo, NM to Roswell and has lived in Roswell for 58 years. She was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church.
