Josephine Esther Arias

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel for Josephine Esther Arias, 39 of Roswell who passed away March 26, 2008 at her home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday March 31, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel. Pastor Danny Sons of Midway Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Following the service the family will receive family and friend at First Baptist Church, 500 N. Pennsylvania.

Josephine was born on August 26, 1968 in Roswell, NM to J.T. Randle and Carmen Arias. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as a Brother Fernando Arias.

Josephine is survived by her spouse: Douglas Gene E. Purcell; her daughters: Jessica Thompson, Sierra Purcell and Elizabeth Thompson all of Roswell; her brother: Ricardo Arias of Albuquerque; and sister: Martha Arias of Dallas, Texas; her grandchild: Jacob Silva; her nephews Ryan Latimer of Roswell; Abraham Arias of Dallas, Texas; her niece: Melanie Latimer of Dallas Texas; one special aunt Josephine Arias Tia of Roswell; her best friend and cousin; Nicole Knowlton of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and several uncles and numerous cousins.

Josephine worked in fast food and retail management over 14 years and later as a caretaker of her father and granny.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Mendez, Cruz Silva, Edgar Cervera, Jaime Rullan, Juan Arias and Cully Knowlton.
