Joseph Lucero

Joseph S. Lucero, age 74 passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.

Joseph was born on February 26, 1940 in San Patricio NM to Aniceto Lucero, and Reynalda Sanchez. Both parents preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Doris Lucero of Roswell NM Sons Joseph H. Lucero and wife Debbie David Perlingos and his wife Lorilei all of Roswell Daughters Tanya Herrera and husband Andy Patsy Lucero Yolanda Coronado and husband Hector all of Roswell Brother Jr. Lucero of Albuquerque Sisters Sabrina Wilcox of California Felis Larson of Florida Jesse Livingston of Florida Renie Gutierrez of Albuquerque and Effie Popejoy and her husband Ray of San Patricio NM. Grandchildren Monique Castillo and husband Alex Ray Vale Mathew Lucero Joshua Lucero Marissa Lucero Anna Anaya Lucero Merissa Ortega Krystol Ortega Alicia Lopez Andrew Cobos Marissa Coronado Leticia Coronado Valerie Coronado Lil Hector Coronado Nikki Coronado Natalie Herrera Ava Dawn Herrera Teyah Herrera, Caleb Perlingos and wife Siria. Great Grandchildren Mariah Castillo Jacklynn Lucero Aubryana Madrid Sophia Gonzales Cobos Cassius Perlingos Camden Perlingos Brian Santillan, and the rest of his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Amelia Herrera Lucero his daughter Sandra Jo Vale Granddaughters Savannah Vale Angel Vale Brothers Gene Lucero and Leo Lucero Sister Mary Rodella Motherinlaw Juanita Z. Trujillo Uncle Romaldo Chavez and a special nephew Bert Lucero.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Lucero Jose Melvin Chito Herrera Joshua Lucero Mathew Lucero Alex Castillo Hector Coronado. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jr Lucero Ernesto Herrera David Perlingos Lil Hector Coronado Andy Herrera and Andrew Cobos.

Joe loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed fixing things as he was a good mechanic. He was really family oriented and loved spending time with all his family.

Prayer Service will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 7 PM. Pastor Savino Sanchez of Church On The Move will be performing the service. Funeral Service will be held at Ballard Funeral Home Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10 AM, with Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
