Josefina Morones

Josefina Morones was born on April 11, 1956 to Roman Morones and Soledad Castaneda Morones in Juarez, Mexico.  She was the fourth of seven children.  Josefina attended Roswell schools graduating from Roswell High in 1974.  She worked at various places ENMMC, Roswell High, Community Home Care…retiring from the NM Rehabilitation Center in 2018.

Josefina was awesome at crocheting and made many many afghans and other items.  She enjoyed spending time with family and her grandkids, gardening, going to the river in Ruidoso, going to the Casino and watching her kids play sports were hobbies she liked.

She is survived by her son; Bobby L. Barnett (Corrina), grandchildren Carmen Grado and Jerimiah Barnett, step grandchildren Freddie Anaya and Frankie Anaya. Aunts Alejandrina Hermosillo of El Paso, Texas, and Maria Rodriguez of Duncan Oklahoma.  Brothers; Lorenzo Morones Sr. (Helen), Ruben Morones Sr., Mario J. Morones (Emily) of Roswell.  Sisters; Hilda M. Quiroz (Michael) and Silvia M. Scherff (Donald) of Roswell and nineteen nephews and nieces.  Also survived by many many cousins and sisters-in-law; Fayetta Barnett, Leisha Brown and Vicky Brown. Brothers-in-law Gary Brown and Billy Brown.
