Jose Isidoro Lovato
A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2008 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Jose Isidoro Lovato, 71 of Roswell, who passed away January 24, 2008, at Roswell Regional Hospital. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2008 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Jose was born on March 24, 1936 in Mountainair, New Mexico to David and Sostena Serna Lovato. His parents have preceded him in death as well as a sister Louisa Garcia and daughter: Gloria Lovato- Giron.
Jose married Deluvina Salcido on December 31, 1955 in Roswell, NM. She survives him at the family home.
Jose is also survived by his sons: Richard R. Lovato, David Ernie Lovato and Joe R. Lovato; his daughters: Linda Lovato and Virginia Garcia Lovato all of Roswell; his sisters; Ruth Callaway of Jasper, TX, Dora Trujillo of Roswell and Lebrada Pacheco of Albuquerque, NM; as well as seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Jose was with the New Mexico National Guard for 32 years. He worked for the New Mexico State Highway Department and was a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
The family wishes to thank the Vista Care Staff; Cindy, Stacy, Sheila, Chris, Daniel, Kevin, Laura, Cecil and Tara for all the special care given and a special thanks to all the staff at Roswell Regional Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Richard Lovato Jr., Robert Lovato, David Lovato, Michael Lovato, Roy Vargas and Larry Vargas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Lovato, Josh Garcia, Joseph Lovato, Nicholas Lovato, Chris Padilla, David Pacheco and Arturo Sisneros.
