A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Jose Luis Flores, 83, of Roswell who passed away April 20, 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery

Jose Luis was born on June 22, 1925 to Manuel Flores and Jermana Cobos Flores in Santa Maria del Oro Durango, Mexico. His parents have preceded him in death.

Jose Luis married Manuela in Roswell, NM. She survives him at the family home.

Jose Luis is also survived by his daughters: Maria and her husband, Ricardo Quezada and Rosa and her husband, Juan Villela; his son: Ruben Flores and his girlfriend, Esther Garcia and an ex-daughter-in-law, Mida Flores; his grandchildren: Efrain Miranda and his wife, Yolanda, Maricela and her husband, Gustavo Banuelas, Ricardo Quezada, Jr., Linda Flores, Sandra Villela, Yahjaira Flores, Yasmine Flores, Kayli Flores, Fransisco Ulibarri, Jose Luis Ulibarri, Arturo Ulibarri, and Rubi Ulibarri; his great-grandchildren: Yaneli Banuelas, Evelyn Miranda, and Jazmyn Ulibarri; his brothers: Melquiadez , Damas, and Pamfilo Flores; his sisters: Natividad, Ramona, Maria Luisa and Teofila.

Jose Luis has lived in Roswell for over 30 years and was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Efrain Miranda, Ruben Flores, Ricardo Quezada, Juan Villela, Jaime Flores, and Willie Stogden.
