Jose Dionicio Barrientos

A rosary is scheduled for 7 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Jose Barrientos 51, who passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 in Dexter, NM. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 am, Friday, December 9, 2011 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Jose was born October 9, 1959 in Ojo De Agua, Zombrerete, Zacatecas to Castulo and Zenaida Fernandez Barrientos. His parents preceded him in death. Jose married San Juana in 1978 in Mexico. She survives him at the family home.

Jose Barrientos is survived by his wife San Juana Barrientos, daughters: Abigail Barrientos and Graciela Salas Sons: Angel Barrientos, Oscar Barrientos, and Ruben Barrientos grandaughters, Jimena Barrientos, Lizbeth Salas, Marely Salas, and grandson, Angel Jr. Barrientos.

Jose loved sports, playing volleyball, hunting and fishing and loved family life. Everywhere he was he was full of humor and as a person there are no words to explain how much of a good person he was.

In remembrance and memory of Jose Barrientos , we his family will remember him and will have him in our hearts and thoughts. We remember the way he spoke to others there was not one he wouldnt make laugh and smile with his unique sense of humor, always smiling and conversational. He left because that is how God wanted it to be but we his family and friends will have him rooted in our hearts forever.

En recuerdo y memoria a Jose Bararientos. Nosotros su familia lo recordaremos y lo tendremos en nuestro pensamiento y corazon. Lo recordamos en el dia a dia al platicar no se quedo una persona si reir, con su inigolable sentido del buen humor siempre sondriente y conversador. Siempre lo recordaremos familia Barrientos.

Pallbearers will be son, Angel Barrientos, brothers Ernesto Barrientos and Macario Barrientos, nephews: Ernesto Jr. Barrientos, Gustavo Barrientos, Lalo Castaneda, Marcos Castaneda, and Manuel Fernandez.
