Johnny Hidalgo

A rosary is scheduled for 6 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Johnny Hidalgo, 72, who passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Funeral mass is scheduled for 10 am, Friday, November 15, 2013 also at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Gonzalo Moreno presiding. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Johnny was born May 15, 1941 in San Patricio, NM to Dave Hidalgo and Juanita Montoya. His parents preceded him in death. His was also preceded in death by his grandson Timothy Hidalgo. Johnny married Dolores Brady she survives him at the family home in Roswell. Johnny is survived by his sons Johnny Jr. Hidalgo, Wilfred Hidalgo and wife Rosa and Antonio Hidalgo and wife Daniella daughter Rachel Jio Hidalgo sisters Maria De Los Santos and Martina Carrasco grandchildren Matthew, Anna, Sunni, Jared, Renee, Santos, Samantha, Marie, JR, Daisy, Lilly, Damian, Cheyenne and Fabian and fourteen great grandchildren.

Johnny was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church. He retired as a Diesel Mechanic and was an Operator for Sweat Construction.

Those serving as pallbearers are Jared Hidalgo, Santos Madero, JR Madero, Matthew Hidalgo, Damian Lopez and Omar Salazar. Honorary pallbearers are David Carrillo, Greg Hidalgo and Robert Hidalgo.
