A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Ballard Chapel for Johnnie Mosley, 94, of Roswell, who passed away March 11, 2008 at a local care center. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Pastor Richard Gorham of Wares Tabernacle Baptist Church will officiate.

Johnnie was born on August 8, 1913 in Dexter, NM to Caleb A. Taylor and Mary E. Jones. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as her husband Tillie Mosley.

Johnnie is survived by her brother: Bill Taylor of New Mexico; her sisters: Evelyn Plousha of Ca., Hazel Parker of Ca. and Alice Jackson of Colorado; her step children: Eugene Mosley of Ca., Tillie Mosley Jr., of Ca., Roxie Mosel Jones of Ca. and John T. Mosley of Colorado and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Johnnie is a life long resident of New Mexico. She loved to cook for her family and made sure it was nutritious. She was a horsewoman and grew up on a farm. She was a member of the Eastern Star, NAACP and Friendship Baptist Church.
