Johnathan S. Carter, 27, of Roswell N.M, was taken from us unexpectedly on Monday, July 15,2019 to join the Angels in Heaven. He was born September 12, 1991 in Roswell, NM to Shawn Carter and Tammy Carlton and later taken in and raised by James Ramirez who he also was proud to call his Father. He attended multiple schools to include schools in Hagerman, Roswell and Artesia. After school Johnathan took his hard-working skills that his late grandpa Mickey instilled in him to the oil fields and construction jobs for work.
Johnathan loved spending his days listening to his music, spending time with his daughters and hanging out with friends and family members who all meant the world to him, he would always attend family get togethers and couldn’t get into someone’s car without plugging in his music and turning the radio up as loud as he could, above all the rest Johnathan cherished his mother, his aunt Sherry and his daughters more than life itself and would do anything for them.
Johnathan is survived by his daughters Zoie, Natalie and Alexis; his mother Tammy Carlton; fathers Shawn Carter and James Ramirez; grandmother Doe Carter; brothers Eric Carter, Robert Ramirez, Chance Carter, Anthony Burge and Terry Burge and his sisters Shantel Carter, Iris Losoya and Sunshine Carter. He also leaves behind the love of his life Harley Thompson and several aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws that love him and will miss him deeply. He is preceeded in death by his great grandparents; his grandfather Mickey Carter and grandmothers Joyce Carlton and Gertrude Ramirez.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 24, 2019 at Ballard Funeral Home with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Eric Carter, Robert Ramirez, Michael Norris, Shawn Carter, Jason Hudson and Rene Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers are as mentioned James Ramirez, Charlie Kendall, Charlie Kendall Jr., Blake Carter, Derrick Hudson, Jaydan Carter and Braxton Ramirez.
Carnation flowers will be provided to the immediately family members at graveside.
