In the early hours of November 20, 2020 John Patrick Halfmann had his life tragically taken from him in a senseless act of violence at the age of 43. The grief of our loss is compounded by the circumstances of his death.
John lived as he chose and accepted all he knew without judgment. He was a beloved son, father, brother and friend. A self-taught tattooist, he often said that he lived, loved and breathed tattoos. John was a talented musician, possessed a gypsy soul, a loving spirit and a great sense of humor—he could always fill a room with laughter. Countless family members and friends whose lives were truly touched by his wit, spirit and talent will grieve our son’s death.
John is survived by his parents; Claudia Kitchens, LA and Garry McCully, OK, his brother; Chris Halfmann, KS; his daughter; Maddie Halfmann, OK and his Oma; Hallie Kitchens, NM. A large family and many friends from all over the country will sorely miss him. It is our fervent wish that when you think of John you would be able to smile.
John’s ashes will be sent to his mother with a virtual memorial planned for after the holidays.

And though it can be a lonesome road
I know I did not walk it alone”
