Joe was born October 27, 1951 in Artesia, NM to Jose R. and Juana G. Villa Dominguez. His parents survive him at the family home in Roswell, NM. Also surviving him are his son Joseph Dominguez and wife Michelle of Roswell daughters Monique Rubio and husband Daniel of Roswell and Alicia Cabrera and husband Christopher of Roswell brothers Pete V. Dominguez and wife Bertha of Albuquerque and Nick Dominguez deceased grandchildren Nicole, Daniel, Michael Rubio, Genevieve Cabrera, Alicia Ceballos, Santiago Dominguez and Ramiro Dominguez great grandchildren Gavyn, Sage and Aaliya Apodaka and nieces and nephews Celestina Dominguez, Emilio Dominguez and Aliah Aguino.

Joe graduated from Artesia High School in 1969 and attended College of Artesia for one year and then transferred to ENMURoswell studying Occupational Therapy. Joe was a musician and volunteered his time to entertain children with disabilities and also those under Hospice Care and at the Rehabilitation Center. Music was very important to Joe and he loved to listen to it as well as a play for others. Joe was also a great cook he was well known for his menudo. He always thought of others before himself.
