A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Ballard Chapel for Joanne Louise Hays, 76, who passed away April 15, 2009 at her home.

After the service and burial, a reception for family, caregivers and friends will be held at 10 Riverview Circle, Roswell.

Joanne was born on March 25, 1933 in Buffalo, NY to Peter Anthony Parlato and Verna Grace Fischle Parlato. Her parents have preceded her in death.

Joanne married Sherman Earl Hays on February 14, 1956 in Phoenix, AZ. After marrying Earl, Joanne became a homemaker and mother of two. They were married for fifty years and are now reunited for eternity.

Joanne and Earl moved from Merced, CA. to Roswell approximately four years ago.
