A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Joan Grady, 81, of Roswell who passed away September 23, 2009 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Richard Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Jo was born January 3, 1928 to Horace Flurry and Ruby Robinson Flurry. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as a sister Mary Thul and one granddaughter Shana Forrester.

Jo married Thomas Grady on August 31, 1957 in Albuquerque, NM. Her husband survives her at the family home.

Jo is also survived by her son: Randy Grady and wife Julie of Roswell; her daughter: Kathy Brown and husband David of Roswell; her sister: Pat Greer of Roswell; her brother in law: Al Grady and wife Sarah of Santa Fe, NM; her grandchildren: Jason and Paddy Forrester, Shelly and Billy Marling, Jim and Nayeli Grady, Jamie and Josh Watson; as well as nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jo moved from Clovis, NM to Roswell in 1993. She was a member of First Christian Church. She loved playing cards and Dominos with her friends. She enjoyed to crochet and was very active with her arts and crafts winning many honors and selling a number of her crafts at different shows. She lived for being a grandmother and loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jos name to the charity of your choice.
