A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 23, 2012 at Vigil Family Plots Cemetery in Mora, NM for Jesus Claudio Blea, 92, who passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in Roswell. There will be a viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Ballard Funeral Home.

Jesus was born March 28, 1920 in Mora, NM to Manuel Blea and Laura Barela. Both his parents preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his companion Angelina brothers Max Blea and Manuel Blea sister Delia B. Cruz and his grandparents Severo Blea, Rita Gallegos, Pedro Barela and Maria Jesusita Martinez.

Those left to cherish his memory are is daughters Lorraine Blea Garcia and husband Ernest of Roswell and Marcella and Mike Marquis of Roswell stepchildren Leo Arguello of Meeker, CO, Nora Gallegos and husband Jimmy of Guadalupita, NM and Eutilia and husband Edward Gonzales of Portales, NMbrothers Luciano Blea of Las Vegas, NM and Pete Blea of La Corierra, NM sisters Margie B. Aquino of Salinas, CA and Annie B. Pumuspuson of Chular, CA., and five grandchildren, sixteen greatgrandchildren and three greatgreatgrandchildren. Also surviving him are numerous other family members and nieces and nephews.

Jesus was a member of the SpanishBilingual Baptist Church, American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He worked as a sheep herder and laborer, but retired from janitorial work.

Pallbearers will be Claudia, Darlene, Helen, Vicky, Ester and Angie. Honorary pallbearers will be Cruz Jr., Isaac, Ernesto, Manuel, Isaia and Andres.
