Jeremy Lane Deason, loving family member and loyal friend was born in Roswell on November 16, 1982 and deceased from a motor vehicle accident on June 20, 2016. Jeremy was 33 years young with a life time of living already behind him.
Funeral Service will be held in his memory at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel, 910 South Main, Roswell, NM on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 am with Deacon James W. Deason (Uncle Jimmy) officiating. Burial will follow at Hagerman Cemetery where Jeremy will be lovingly laid to rest. Family, both chosen and biological will be welcome to participate in a short celebration of his life after services at the Lindell Andrews Community Center, 501 East Argyle St, Hagerman, NM until 1:00 pm. There will be an opportunity to share a past moment with Jeremy. A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Ballard Funeral Home.
Jeremy was a fierce and loyal person and he always held those the closest to him the most accountable. He had many plans for the next year, and for the rest of his life.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his mother, Leslie Michelle Deason. He is survived and loved by his daughter, Justice Michelle Deason who lives in Dora, NM with her maternal grandparents; his father Logan Reeves of Victoria, TX and biological father David H. Friesen of Sedan, KS. Surviving siblings are Mandyie Deason and Jerry Flores of Hagerman, NM, Deyshia Johnson of Littleton, CO, & Gisele and Zane Moody of Dexter, NM; maternal grandparents Joyce and Harry Darrough of Roswell, NM and paternal grandparents Larry and Barbara Reeves of Dexter, NM; grandmother Bernice Reeves of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, very close cousins, nieces, nephews and we would not forget his chosen family, his friends, who remain loyal to him and his family in death.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Deason, David Deason, Zachary Naegle, Manny Trujillo, Joshua McClain & Ryan Aguirri. Honorary pallbearers include Thomas Deason, Jeff Deason, Rachel Silvia, Lester H. Deason, John Leatherman, Chris Moreno and Roland Lucero.
The family wishes to thank the New Mexico State Police that assisted in Jeremy's recovery and made sure the family was notified and that his personal belongings were returned to them. These men and women put their lives on the line daily for us. God Bless. The family would also like to thank and commend the staff at Ballard Funeral Home for the excellent service, compassion and assistance ministered to us in a great time of shock and need.
There were many donations that are so appreciated. The out pour of friends, relatives and colleagues has been amazing. Thank you each and every one. These events never happen when all is well.
