A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church of Hagerman for Jean Wiggins who passed away on May 17, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. Rev. Stephen Deutsch of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Jean was cremated according to her wishes.

Jean was born at St. Marys Hospital in Roswell and was a lifelong resident of Hagerman, NM.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Wiggins of Hagerman; grandchildren, Julie Wiggins, Beth Monty, Max Graves, and Zachary Graves; two nephews Richard Sweatt, Bill Sweatt; and a niece Marlene Vestal; cousins, Gretchen Matlock, Jim Ed Miller, Clayton Tatom, Merle Rich, Maggie Bean, Sandra Trainer, Beverly Sweatt, and Tate May.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Max Wiggins; son, Jackson Jack Wiggins and her daughter: Jo Wiggins Graves as well as her brothers, Charles Edward Sweatt, Van Sweatt; and sisters: Dorothy Sweatt, Bernice Mann Sweatt.

Jean was a faithful elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Hagerman. She was the first woman director of Cloud Country, essential to their organization and water right. She enjoyed time spent with friends at her cabin in Cloud Country.

She enjoyed many happy times with area friends and her Standard poodle, Sadie.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Jeans name to the First Presbyterian Church, , P.O. Box 367, Hagerman, NM 88230.
