A rosary is scheduled for 7 pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Ballard Chapel for Jason Joseph Gutierrez, 32, who passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 in Roswell. A Mass of the Resurrection is scheduled for 12:10 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Pacquing officiating.

Jason was born on August 13, 1980 in Roswell, New Mexico to David Gutierrez and Velia Contreras. He is survived by his parents his brothers David Gutierrez, Jr. and his fianc Victoria of Roswell, NM, Adam Gutierrez and his wife Lisa of Suffolk, VA and Carlos Gutierrez of Roswell, NM two nieces Nayeli and Arazeli Gutierrez grandfather, Gordon Sanders of Hagerman, NM and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Jason was a lifelong resident of Hobbs and a member of San Helena Catholic Church in Hobbs, NM. He was a graduate of Hobbs High School, class of 1999. Jason was a talented musician he wrote music and played the guitar. He also loved to swim and spend time with his friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Adam, Carlos and David Gutierrez, Bryan Chavez, Able Herrera, Michael Gonzales, Javier Contreras and Rick Brewer.
