James Lee Seely
James Lee Seely, a devoted husband, father, and respected member of the Roswell community, passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 67. James was born to James Seely and Ada May Browning on December 2, 1956, in Roswell, NM, he dedicated his life both to his family and to his career.
James enjoyed a long and fruitful career as the Lead Broad Operator at Navajo Refinery, where his expertise and leadership were highly regarded. His contributions to the refinery left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and safety throughout his tenure.
The love James had for his family was evident in all aspects of his life. He was a pillar of strength, known for his unwavering support and kindness. James held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him, both professionally and personally.
James is preceded in death by his parents James Seely and Ada May Seely; others that have preceded him in death: Clyde Seely, George Seely, Valerie Seely, Shelly Seely, and James William Seely.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory is his loving wife, Bonnie Seely; sons Joe (Jennifer) Seely, Jake (Lacey) Seely, Newman (Collette) Seely; sisters Sandra Smith, Jeanette Wilson and Rose Alice Johnson; grandchildren Kaylee Seely, Addison Seely, Reagan Herring, Caleb Seely, Cohdy Seely, Khason Seely, Wesley Harden, Austin Harden, Baylee Seely and Valerie Seely.
Pallbearers: Caleb Seely, Addison Seely, Cohdy Seely, Wesley Harden, Khason Seely, Baylee Seely, Kaylee Seely, and Austin Harden.
Honorary Pallbearers: Valerie Seely, Jake Seely, Reagan Herring, Auden Lacey, Newman Seely, Shane Holman, Joe Seely, and Bonnie Seely.
A funeral service to honor James Lee Seely will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Midway Family Church. Burial will follow at the family ranch.
James will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his warm spirit and dedication to those he loved. His legacy will continue to live on in the memories of friends and family who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorial contributions may be made in James's name to Cancer and Down Syndrome.
