Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2007 at Ballard Funeral Chapel for James O. Clark, 54, of Roswell, New Mexico who passed away November 20, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Doug Austin of Country Club Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park.
James was born January 25, 1953 to Jim Clark and Debbie Nora Massingale. His mother preceded him in death as well as a brother, Tommy Jeff Clark, and one sister Linda K. Clark Womack.
James graduated from Goddard High School in 1973. He attended and graduated from Stephen F. Austin College in Texas in 1981 with a BS in Education. He later attended E.N.M.U.-Portales to further his education.
He worked for the Boys and Girls Club in Roswell and the Yucca Center. He coached track, basketball, soccer and officiated games. He was a very devoted Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn fan. James was active with Counseling Associates programs for handicapped in
iduals and the Governors Advisory Board of Economic Development. James was well loved by many and received certificates of appreciation from many organization. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
James is survived by his father; Jim Clark, sister; Deborah Ann Ylinen and husband Frank of South Carolina, brother; John W. Clark, Sr. and wife Phyllis of Crowley, Louisiana, sister-in-law; Lugarda Romero Clark of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Billy McDaniels, Chris Meadows, Jan Richards, Kenneth Salsman, Danny Woods and David Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Batson and Jerry Cannon.
