James Bourassa

A family gathering will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Ballard Funeral Home for James Lloyd Bourassa, 73, who passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Roswell.


James was born July 12, 1940 in Shawnee, OK to Marion Bourassa and Mary Elizabeth Blackburn. His parents preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is his brother Jake.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of thirtytwo years Diane of the family home son Tim and wife Nuek daughter Linda and husband David sister Jean sisterinlaw Debbie grandchildren Shane, Scott, Cody and Shelby and nieces Trisha and Nikki.

James was a proud Potawatomi Indian. He loved fishing, carpenter work, yard sales, playing cards and music of all kinds, but most of all he loved going dancing. James was a very giving grandfather and is loved very much by his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
