Ida Penny Finney

Ida Penny Finney passed away on July 7, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. A service is scheduled for 10:30, Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Grace Community Church. Pastor Rick Hale of Grace Community Church will officiate. Ida will lie in at the Ballard Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Ballard Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Penny was born on September 27, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas to M. A. and Christine Pennington. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as one niece.

Penny is survived by her stepmother: Bobby Turner; daughters: Shaun R. Bouchier and husband Jack of Roswell and Adair Buck and husband Roger of Roswell; her beloved grandchildren: Kenny and Kirsten Porter and Ashlee Marie Buck; her sister: Sarita McDonald and husband Frank of Morgan Mill, TX; her niece: Deborah K. Cochran; and cousins.

Penny spent the majority of her adult life in Roswell. Her life reflected the teachings of Jesus. She was a compassionate and gentle lady. She was blessed with many friends and was a member of Grace Community Church.

The family wants to pay special tribute to Dr. Valliant and Dr. Tran, the staff of Roswell Hospice, the management and staff of Bee Hive.

Pallbearers will be Roger Buck, Jack Bouchier, Shawn Klein, Thomas Jeff Weathers, Andrew Chavez and Clovis Archuleta; Honorary will be Frank W. McDonald, Kenneth C. Porter and Herbert E. Finney
