Hilario Martinez

A rosary is scheduled for 9 am, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Ballard Chapel for Hilario G. Martinez, 72, who passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. Graveside services will follow at South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ballard Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 1 to 7 pm.

Hilario was born January 14, 1942 in Durango, Mexico to Jose Martinez and Antonia Gomez who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister Luisa Gomez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Maria de la Luz Martinez brothers Manuel Martinez and wife Concha, Ignacio Martinez and wife Gregoria, Alfredo Gomez and wife Olivia, and Felipe Avitia and wife Myrna, special grandson raised as a son C. Diego Borunda sisters Paula Avitia, Teresa Gomez and Benita Gomez sons Mario Martinez and wife Olga and Julio Martinez and Dolores Rael daughters Norma Martinez, Ramona Martinez and Anna Martinez grandsons Mario Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Frankie Martinez, Julio Balbino, Arturo Martinez and Manny Martinez granddaughters Krystal Gonzalez, Bianca Montoya, Angel Martinez, Abby Martinez, Debbie Martinez, Denise Martinez, Raquel Martinez and Brittny Martinez and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Hilario lived in Roswell for the past fortyeight years coming from Chihuahua, Mexico. He loved to repair cars for anyone and everyone that needed it. Hilario was a coach for The Angels soccer team where he coached his two sons. He loved spending lots of play time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those serving as pallbearers are C. Diego Borunda, Jesse Martinez, Manny Martinez, Frankie Martinez Mario Bubba Martinez and Arturo Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Krystal Gonzalez, Julio Balbino, Bianca Montoya, Angel Martinez and Abby Martinez.
