Henry Ogas Jr. was born June 30,1943, in Carlsbad, NM to Henry Ogas Sr. and Juanita S. Ogas, during the turbulent years of WWII. They preceded him in death as did his sister Katie Ogas. Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Oralia, whom he met in April of 1964; ten months later they joined their love and hearts to each other in Holy Matrimony. From their union of love, there were three beautiful girls born; Angela, Anjanette, and their baby girl Bernadette Renee. Those left to carry on Henry's memories are his daughters Angela Dominguez and her husband Gilbert, Anjanette Ogas, Bernadette Aragon and her husband Manuel, grandchildren Gabriel Ogas, Breanna Dominguez, Danyelle Silva, Aaron Dominguez, Aryenna Ramirez, Kiara Ramirez, Joshua Silva, Jonathan Silva, Dominic Ramirez, Josiah Aragon, Azelin Aragon, Eziah Aragon, and Noamiah Aragon, sisters Nancy Anderson and her husband Albert of Albuquerque NM, Velma Ogas from Winton CA, Laura Baldauf and her husband Richard of Las Cruces NM, brother Mark Ogas of Albuquerque NM and numerous nieces and nephews.

Henry resided in Roswell since 1954. He started working at the very young age of six, at a cotton patch at Seven Rivers. Upon arriving in Roswell he soon acquired a job at Smalls Bakery at age 11, and worked there till age 21. Henry loved baking and cooking and taught his grandchildren the enjoyment of it. His grandest pride was when he heard middle daughter tell a group of people, nobody cooks like my daddy.

Henry graduated High School from St. Peter's Catholic School in 1961. He attended Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM on a basketball scholarship. Henry worked at the Chevrolet house and went on to retire as a body shop manager from Roswell Ford. He continued his love for automotives as an insurance appraiser. Henry loved his family with all his heart. His grandchildren were his pride and joy; he was "Grandad".

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
