Helen Witt

Helen F. Witt age 96, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Lovelace Heart Hospital in Albuquerque. From her birth in Norton, Texas on Octtober 19, 1922 until her death she nourished people around her with love of family, kindness, charity and joy of life.
She moved to Elida when she was five but spent most of her adult life in Roswell, she was the eldest daughter in a family of 10 children. Helen was a member of the Yucca Porcelain Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her daughters, Jerry M. Witt ODette and Sherry L. Witt; sisters Johnnie Tweeten, Wanda Parks and Margery Chatters; brother Roy Foster; granddaughters Sevie Bates, GayLynn Corens, Holly Lei Lovell, Jackie Witt Faubus Synder;
3 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alta M. Ridgway and Joel Bailey Foster; husband Francis (Jack) Witt; son Marvin Terry Witt; sisters Mazelle Foster and Maureen Neufield; brothers Marvin, Joe, and Billy Foster.
Family, friends and others whose lives Helen touched are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Ballard Funeral Home from 1 pm - 4 pm. We will gather for a graveside on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 1 p.m.
at Elida, NM Cemetery to say final farewell and prayers.
