Helen M. Nulf

A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Helen M. Nulf, 63, of Roswell who passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the University Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 at South Park Cemetery. She was cremated according to her wishes.

Helen was born on July 4, 1945 to Ramon Licon, Sr. and Rosenda Rodriquez Licon in Spur, TX. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as a son, Marion L. Nulf Jr., a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Nulf, and two brothers, Joe and Rudy Licon.

Helen married Marion Nulf on November 7, 1964 in Roswell, NM. Her husband survives her at the family home.

Helen is also survived by her daughter: Elizabeth R. Nulf of Roswell; her brothers: Ramon Licon Jr. and wife Sandy of Roswell, Gilbert Licon of Roswell, Jessie Licon and his wife Fabi of El Paso, TX; her sisters: Minnie Garcia and Elisa Romero both of Roswell; her grandchildren: Jessica Sanchez and Deven Valenzuela; as well as, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Helen was a life long resident of Roswell and was a business owner and operator of the Old West Package Store from 1995 to 2003. She loved to decorate. She also enjoyed taking care of family and family events, and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd, NE Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
