Hazel Trujillo

April 10, 1948 — June 25, 2016

On Saturday, June 25, 2016 a very special lady went on her path to walk the streets of gold, to join her beloved family and friends, with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Hazel who was lovingly known as "Fuddie" was born in Clayton, NM on Saturday, April 10, 1948 to her parents Jose Rubel and Maria (Martinez) Trujillo who preceded her in death. Fuddie is also preceded in death by her brothers Rudy Trujillo, Joe "Tacho" Trujillo, Felix Trujillo, LeRoy Trujillo, Tony Trujillo and her sisters Mary Helen "Lena" Hidalgo, Louise "Olie" Trujillo, a niece she helped raise, Maria Trujillo and her dear friend she called sister Pauline "Polly" Lara Najar.

Our mom was a true leader of the pack, she always talked about the Cobraettes. She was a member of the community club Las Chismosas and most importantly a loving and devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed making crafts and giving them as gifts, listening to Sonny Osuna, Lil Joe and her "oldies" she said, "it took her back". The most inspiring trait our mom taught us was the gift of giving. She gave what she had, or what she got, to others all her life. Fuddie had a playful sense of humor, we would have "water fights" in our house, our friends would come to visit with her and get her advice and knowledge because they love and respected her true honesty. We will so miss our beautiful momma.

Fuddie is survived by four children Benjimen Garcia of San Diego, CA, Gina and husband Jesse Jacobo Jr, Paula Garcia and Adam Arenivas, Gabriel "her baby" Garcia and wife Pamela all of Roswell, NM; her ex-husband Raymond "Roy" Villareal who she had a special relationship throughout her journey of life; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren who with love, called her "Grammie" will greatly miss her. Her sister Beatrice and husband Benny Mirelas of Douglas WY who helped raise her; her brother Joe and wife Mary Trujillo of Lovington, NM; sisters Ruby Gonzales and Kathleen Trujillo of Roswell, NM, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special mention to Gracie and her husband Danny Gomez of Roswell, NM.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her God children, Larry Hidalgo, Ronald Hidalgo, Phillip Guiterrez, J.D Gonzales, Hope Morales, Alexias Torrez, David P. Lucero and great grandson James T. Morales.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 10:00 to 7:00 pm and also on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 9:00 to 7:00 pm at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.
