Harold Alan Newman
Harold was born October 17,1930 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Alva Newman and Annis Spence.
His early years and education were in Detroit, Michigan where he entered the U.S. Air Force at the time of the Korean War and served for a total of 10 years. He was discharged from the military in San Francisco, California where he met and married his beloved wife, Joan Burden, daughter of Henry "Skeet" and Myrtle Burden of Roswell, NM.
In 1980 the family moved to Roswell, NM where he continued his professional life in the insurance claims business and owned All Lines Claims Service. In 1992 he retired after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Joan, sons Patrick of Albuquerque, NM, Paul of Roswell, NM, grandson, Liam Newman, of Santa Fe, NM as well as brother-in-law, Donald Burden and nephew Donnie Burden of Roswell, NM; sister-in-law, Donna Smith and family of Torrington, Ct. as well as nephews, nieces and cousins in Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roy and Norman Fischer and twin sisters, Darlene Woolridge and Maxine Wilson all of Cincinnati, Ohio.
