Guadalupe Lupe Manuz Lucero

A Vigil Service with rosary is scheduled for 7:00pm, Friday, October 14, 2011 at Assumption Catholic Church for Lupe Lucero 81, who passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in Lubbock, Texas. The Funeral Rite with Mass will be held at 9:30am, Saturday, October 15, 2011 also at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Joseph Pacquing officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Lupe was born July 21, 1930 in Morenci, Arizona to Aurelio and Ysabel Moreno Manuz. Her parents preceded her in death along with her brother Roger Manuz and her sister Carmen Kimbrell.

She is survived by her husband Elon Lucero of Roswell son Richard Lucero and wife Ann of Roswell daughters Gloria Montoya and husband Joe of Roswell and Dorothy Irion of Las Cruces, NM sisters Lucy Castillo of Albuquerque, NM and Lela McKinley of Alamogordo, NM grandchildren Cindy Sanchez, Debra Merigo, Denise Burrola, Randy Montoya, Jennifer Nunez, Jason Lucero, Eric Lucero and Kaylee Irion and twelve great grandchildren.

Lupe lived in Roswell since 1950. She was of the catholic faith and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. Lupe was very active in her church. She loved to sew, crochet and garden. Lupe really enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports and other activities. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed greatly y all those who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Randy Montoya, Jason Lucero, Antonio Nunez, Al Merigo, Dude Burrola, Fernando Trujillo, Bryce Sanchez, Tarren Burrola, Taymon Burrola.
