Goldie Elizabeth Schmid

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 am on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Goldie Elizabeth Schmid who passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Father Charlie Martinez will be officiating with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. Goldie will lie in state at the Ballard Funeral Home from 8:00am to 7:00pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Goldie was born on April 29, 1927 in Roswell, NM to Frank Robert Lively and Velma Medora Addington. Her parents preceded her in death. Also preceding her is one brother, Tommy Lively.

Goldies survivors include her husband Herbert Schmid of the home to whom she was married to for 67 years. She is also survived by three sons, John M. Schmid of Roswell, Don R. Schmid of Albuquerque, and Gary M. Schmid of Colorado Springs, CO five daughters, Wanda A. Silver of Albuquerque, NM, Connie J. Sims of Farmington, UT, Alice M. Bratcher of Coolidge, AZ, Joan E. SchmidNorton of Landolakes, FL, and E. Sue Heaton of Roswell. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Goldie was a member of the Extension Club many years ago.

Pallbearers will be John Schmid, Don Schmid, Gary Schmid, Gerald Silver, James Silver, and Robert Brewer.

The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association New Mexico Chapter, 404 12 N. Kentucky Ave. Roswell, New Mexico 88201.
