Lori has lived in Roswell for 30 years and worked as a Real Estate Agent for Professional Real Estate Service. She was a member of Assumption and the Pecos Valley Potters Guild. Lori, whose given name at her Catholic baptism was Gloria Mae, lived her name. She brought glory to God through her lifes example. Lori had an incredibly deep prayer life. The strength that she received from her faith in God the Father and the special relationship she had with the Blessed Virgin Mary was shared regularly with her family and friends. Her devotion as a wife, mother, grandma and greatgrandma was an obvious extension of her faith. After God, her family was her lifes focus. She was a Proverbs 31 woman, learning to sew clothes for her children and grandchildren. Soon her creativity expanded to include gardening, canning, jewelry making, ceramics and pottery.
One of Loris favorite prayers was the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
where there is injury, pardon
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console
to be understood as to understand
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
Pallbearers will be Aaron McGuire, Terry Gazdik, Ryan Burden, Jason Gazdik, Jeffrey Gazdik and Chet Pfiefer.
