Gloria Serrano

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., October 3, 2010, at St. Peters Catholic Church for Gloria L. Serrano 54 who died on October 1. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., October 4, 2010, at St. Peters Catholic Church. Father Charlie Martinez, OFM will officiate. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Gloria was born on August 3, 1956, in Roswell, NM to Margarito Luevano and Maria Luisa Gonzalez. Gloria was a vibrant joyful woman who brought laughter into many peoples lives had become a model of service, sacrifice, and love. Her greatest accomplishment was in her dedication raising her five children, who will live her legacy, bringing great joy to those who surround them.

Gloria described herself as: I was born and raised in Dexter. I have 5 wonderful kids whom I would never trade. I love my children a lot I have 2 grandkids and 1 on the way, I love them so much I am anxious for Xavier to be born. Well I enjoy my work and my coworkers are my adopted kids. I always have to keep them in check and that is hard work, lol. I like to go to the movies, even though sometimes I fall asleep not because the movie is boring its because I am exhausted. Well, I guess this is all for now. I love God very much and I believe in miracles.
Gloria is survived by her parents, her four sons and one daughter Tony Serrano and his wife Monica of Roswell, Mario Serrano of San Antonio, Benjamin Serrano of Las Cruces, Reynaldo Serrano and his wife Lynette of Las Cruces, one daughter Naomi Serrano of Dexter, three grandchildren Esaiah, Tony and Xavier Serrano, her seven brothers Gadalupe Lupe, Librado Lalo, Raul, Mike, Cruz, Enrique Henry and Margarito Jr. Gloria is preceded in death by two brothers Francisco Kico and Luis Luevano. Pallbearers will be her brothers.
