Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Glen Floyd Graves, 98, who passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Mission Arch Care Center. Dr. W. Douglas Mills of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Glen was born October 16, 1915 in Elida, New Mexico to James Minton Graves and Myrtle Mae Williams Graves who preceded him in death. Glen is also preceded in death by his wife, Christine in 2011, his brother James Vernon Graves and sisters Pauline Graves and Ruby Mask.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son Greg Graves of Roswell, NM daughters Shelly Crouse and husband Robin of Liberty, MO, Krista Peltier and husband Mark of Roswell, NM and Kelly Amador and husband Joe of Hobbs, NM grandchildren Brandon Crouse and wife Jeannie, Amanda Hartman, Joseff Amador and wife Sabrina, Joshua Amador and wife Sarah, Kelsea Stokes and husband Brett, Christopher Bishop, Katie Graves and Walker Graves and great grandchildren Traven and Taylor Crouse, Madelyn and Wesley Hartman, and Hayden Stokes.
Glen lived in Roswell, NM area for the past 88 years coming from Rock Valley, NM. He was dairy farmer and owned Kellys Downtown Cafe. Glen enjoyed raising game birds and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed RV traveling and visited fortysix of fifty states with his wife Christine Graves. He dearly loved his grandchildren and they brought much joy to his life.
