Gerald Williams

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Ballard Chapel for Gerald E. Williams, 85, who passed Wednesday, September 18, 2013 peacefully at home. Bob Maples, Pastor of United Church of Roswell will be officiating. Gerald will be buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, September 23, 2013.

Gerald was born August 20, 1928 in Roby, Texas to Elbert and Alma Scott Williams. Both parents preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Carol Williams of Roswell son Jerry Williams daughterinlaw Lela grandchildren Amanda and husband Sy of Artesia, NM, Tyler and wife Adriene of Ft. Worth, TX, Kayala and fianc Jacob of Albuquerque, NM, Mike and wife Stacie of Houston, TX, Danny and wife Ashley of Hobbs, NM brother Joe and wife Idell of Carlsbad, NM eleven great grandchildren, twelve nephews, ten nieces and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Gerald was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Combat Engineer Corp. He was a member of the VFW in Carlsbad, NM. Gerald retired as a Potash Miner from Potash Company of America.

In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to St. Jude Childrens Cancer Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN, 38105.
