George Morley

Graveside services are scheduled for 9:30 am, Saturday, July 6, 2013 for Sam Morley, 74, who passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 in Roswell. Herbert Gage of Vista Care will be officiating with Roswell Veterans Honor Guard conducting military graveside services. A reception will follow at the Eagles Lodge for family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Ballard Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

Sam was born March 6, 1939 in Baudette, Minnesota to Jefferson H. Morley and Minnie Russell. His parents preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his wife Joyce L. Cravens Morley his son Mike W. Morley and his sister Barbara Chapin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Robbie Morley of Austin, TX, Rick Morley and wife Rose of Visalia, CA and Andy Morley and wife Nanci of Roswell, NM daughter Glenda Lynchard and husband Marvin of Arnold, MD brothers Lynn Morley of New Hampshire, Vaughn Morley and wife Maxine of Arkansas and Adrian Morley and wife Donna of New Mexico sisters Lorna Quick and husband James of Georgia., Sharon M. White of New Hampshire, Irene M. Tomsich of Roswell, Thiel Peck and husband John of Utah, Camille Dulas and husband Ron of Massachusetts. grandchildren Ricky Morley and wife Katie, Joshua Morley, Sydnie Morley, Zachary Lynchard, Samantha Lynchard, Lana Morley, Kelsey Morley and great granddaughter Abigail Morley.

Sam enjoyed competition shooting, he won many trophies and also received the distinguish rifleman designation. Sam was a rock collector, loved going to flea markets, garage sales and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Sam was a hard worker and was happy most when he was working or helping a friend.
