Gene Prag

No services are scheduled at this time for Gene Allen Prag, 61, who passed Sunday, January 4, 2014 in Roswell. Gene will be cremated according to his wishes. He will lie in state Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Ballard Funeral Home from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Gene was born March 1, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to Edward Cecil Prag and Josephine Thelma Brown who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother Clarence May.

Those surviving him are his son Gene Daniel Prag and wife Crystal of Roswell, NM; daughter Jacqueline Jones and husband Joseph of Roswell, NM; brother Frank Prag and wife Dorothy of Artesia, NM; grandchildren Daniel Prag, Cassie and Sarah Prag, Camry Forrest, Justine Forrest and Austyn Jones.

Gene graduated from Roswell High School and was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a security guard for X-Cel Protective at Navajo Refinery. Gene liked to go fishing and listen to old country music. He was a strong and loving man who will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
