Frank M. Martinez
Frank M. Martinez of Roswell, NM was born on February 3, 1925. Late Friday night on April 9, 2021 at the age of 96, surrounded by his loving family, he went home to be with our Savior Jesus Christ.
Frank was born in Cloudcroft, NM to Daniel and Bonifacia Molina Martinez who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his son Martin Martinez and Emilia Martinez.
In 1944 he married Emilia B. Martinez in Roswell, NM where they lived their entire lives until May 15, 2018 when he moved to Riverside, CA to live with his daughter, Frances. Frank was a devoted catholic all of his life. In 1957 Frank and Emilia opened their home to provide mass for the North Hill community until Assumption Parish was built, now known as Assumption Catholic Church.
Frank was one of the founding fathers of Assumption Church, he also spent many hours of voluntary time with Assumption Parish and Poor Clare Monastery. He also held the Position of Grand Knight for two terms. Frank was a devoted father who cherished his family. He was a contractor all his life.
Frank leaves behind his treasured daughter Frances M. Abila (Tino), his revered sons David Martinez (Margie), his beloved grandchildren: Dannell Franco (Elliott) and their children EJ, and Deseree, James Martinez (Kelly) and their two daughters Angelina and Sofia, Racquel White, her sons Todd and Michael, daughter Amy Dushane, DJ Martinez (Ludym) and their children Mireya and Marcos, Gabriel Martinez
(Michelle) and their children Caroline, Matthias, and Gabrielle, Jennifer Holguin (Joaquin) and their daughter, Santana, Michael Martinez (Annalisa) and their children, Penelope and Beau, Angelina Abila and her children Justin, Christian, Shawn and Sophia, Amber Sandoval (Dominic) and their three children Joshua, Andrew and Lyla, Brittany Abila. Brothers Pablo Martinez (Isadora), Deacon Ernesto Martinez (Carolina), Roberto Martinez (Lydia), Lloyd Martinez (Irene) and his sisters Evelyn Martinez Sanchez (Jose), and Mary Martinez Borovina, along with many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Ramon Voss, Modesto Chavez, Gregg Reyer, Gabriel Martinez, Faustino Abila, and DJ Martinez. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Dennell Franco, Racquel White, Amber Sandoval, Brittany Abila, James Martinez, Michael Martinez, and Angie Abila.
The family would like to thank everyone that shared so much love with him.
Visitation will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Rosary will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 9:00 am at Assumption Catholic Church with Mass to follow at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
