Frank Gustamantes, 74, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on December 13, 2023. He entered this world on November 11, 1949 in Roswell, NM. Frank was born to Albert and Caroline Gonzales and was raised by his loving parents, Francisco and Reducinda Gustamantes who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death was his brother, Leonard Gonzales and his sister Mary Duran.

Frank is survived by his wife Sonja Gustamantes; son, Frank Gonzales and daughter April De La Cerda and her husband Orlando. He had two stepchildren, Sheryl Olds and Scott Smith. He is also survived by siblings, Felix Gonzales Sr. And his wife Ana; Martha Melendez and husband Greg; and Cissy Vasquez. Frank has 5 grandchildren; Ariana Gonzales, Damien Gonzales, Tiara De La Cerda, Nathan De La Cerda, and Samantha De La Cerda; 3 great granddaughters; 1 great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank served honorably as a Captain in the US Military for 8 years. During his lifetime, Frank worked as an OR Registered Nurse in several hospitals across New Mexico and Texas. He is greatly loved and will be missed dearly by family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Felix Gonzales Sr. And Felix Gonzales Jr. Pallbearers are Frank Gonzales, Orlando De La Cerda, Nathan De La Cerda, David Gonzales, David Castillo, and Ernie Montoya.

A viewing will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00 am at Ballard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at General Douglas L. McBride Veteran’s Cemetery.
