A viewing is scheduled for Sunday starting at 12:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m. for Francisco B. Martinez, 57 of Artesia who passed away March 10, 2010 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Mr. Martinez will be taken to Tephuanes, Durango, Mexico for burial.
Francisco was born on April 2, 1952 to Braulio Martinez and Rafaela Vargas Martinez in Durango, Mexico. His parents survive him in Mexico.
Francisco is survived by his wife Yolanda Martinez in Artesia his sons: Francisco Martinez Jr. of Mexico and Mario Martinez of Artesia his daughters: Maribel Martinez and Alma Martinez both of Artesia, NM his brothers: Mariano Martinez of Mexico and Manuel Martinez of Artesia his sisters: Genoveba Martinez of LA, California, Carmella Martinez of LA, California, Teresa Martinez of Mexico and Angelica Martinez of Chicago his grandchildren: Venessa Lopez, Jose Lopez, Brisa Barrera, Louis Barrera, Angel Martinez and Celeste Martinez.
Francisco has lived in Artesia for 18 years working as a laborer in construction. He was of the Catholic faith.
