Frances Stella Russell
A funeral mass will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Frances Stella Russell, who passed away on Sunday November 12, 2006 at a local care center. Fr. Benedict Begin, O.F.M. will officiate. Interment will follow the service at South Park Cemetery.

Frances was born on May 8, 1910 in Eldon, Iowa to Dale M. Brooks and Lena A. Simmons Brooks. Her parents precede her in death as well as a sister Pauline Vineyard.

Frances was married on November 8, 1933 to Donald L. Russell in Eldon, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1986.

She is survived by her Cousins: Chuck Loomis and wife Trisha of Tucson, Arizona, Jay Wright and wife Joann of Grand Haven, Michigan and Sue Loomis and husband R.H. of Traverse City, Michigan as well as other cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Frances attended nursing school in Ottumwa, Iowa and worked at Flint General Hospital in Flint, Michigan was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and St. Peters women Society. She was Active in the Catholic Church in Flint Michigan and played piano, organ and sang. She enjoyed bingo, card games, dancing, sewing, cooking and building furniture. She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. The Family would like to give special thanks for those who care for her at Mission Arch Care Center.
