Frances Neria Aguirre
A rosary is scheduled for Monday, March 17, 2008 at 7pm at St. Johns Catholic Church for Frances Neria Aguirre, 82, of Roswell New Mexico who passed away, March 14, 2008. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Frances was born October 4, 1925 in Webb, Arizona to Marcelino Neria and Paublita Ramirez. Both parents have preceded her in death.
Frances married Joseph Loya Aguirre on December 31, 1946. He also preceded her in death as well as a son, Philiberto Aguirre, and one sister, Carlota Dominguez.
She was a housewife and a member of the Guadalupanas, Cursillista and, a very active member of St. Johnss Catholic Church were she taught Sunday school, was in the choir, and any other activities she was always there willing to help. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She will be missed by all, but remembered by all of the different ways she touched each member of her family.
Frances is survived by her sons: Raymond J. Aguirre of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Tommy Aguirre of San Antonio, Texas; James Aguirre of Roswell, New Mexico; daughter: Ruthann J. Lopez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother: Fidel Neria of Roswell, New Mexico; sisters: Consuelo Cruz of Hobbs, New Mexico, Helen Cruz of Roswell, New Mexico; eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Aguirre, Adrian Aguirre, Steven Aguirre, Ray Lopez, James R. Aguirre and Aaron Aguirre.
