Felix Padilla

A rosary is scheduled for 7pm, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Ballard Chapel for Felix Padilla, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 9am at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving family and friends following the service at 1007 Highland Road.

Felix was born October 8, 1933 in Capitan, NM to Joe and Rose Olguin Padilla. His parents preceded him death. Felix married Bertha Baca in 1953 at St. Johns Catholic Church she also preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his son Roger in 1991 and two sisters.

Felix is survived by his sons Felix Padilla and wife Trina of Roswell, Carl Padilla of Roswell and Gary Padilla and wife Rosemary of New Braunfels, TX daughter Sheryl Padilla of Roswell sister Gloria Scarpa of Reno, NV brother Damian Dee Padilla of Apple Valley, CA eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Felix was a lifetime resident of Roswell. He worked as an Office Manager at Waples Platter, Roswell Trading and Ballew Brothers were he then retired. After retirement he worked for Kraft Foods part time. Felix was an avid golfer in his younger days. He loved his family and God. Felix was very active in church at St. Johns and St. Peters Catholic Churches. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Carl Padilla Jr., Tommy Apadoca, Bobby Carabajal, Sal Rendon, Robert Ortiz and Raymond Franco.
