A prayer service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Ballard Chapel for Fabriciano F.G. Sena, 91, of Roswell, who passed away March 19, 2008 at his home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008 at Primera Spanish Baptist Church at 417 E. Wildy. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
Fabe was born on January 3, 1917 in San Ignacio, NM to Nestor and Aurelia Gutierrez Sena. His parents preceded him in death as well as one son: Steven Sena; his five brothers: Juan Sena, Manuel Sena, Luciano Sena, Enrique Sena, Max Sena; and two sisters: Sarita and Francisca Kika.
Fabe married Mary A. Sisneros on November 28, 1943 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. She survives him at the family home.
Fabe is survived by his sons: Dr. Bob Sena and wife Priscilla of Tucker, Georgia, Rev. Fabian Sena and wife Barbara of Hobbs, NM, Bill Sena and wife Gerri of Albuquerque, NM, Rev. Edward Sena and wife Raquel of Lubbock, Tx, Michael Sena and wife Leticia of El Paso, TX and Henry Sena and wife Chelsey of Roswell; his daughters: Esther Melesia Castro and husband David of Roswell, Josie Dodier and husband Oscar of Corpus Christi, TX and Lenora Valerio and husband Ted of Longmont, CO.; his grandchildren: Roy Sena, Sandee and husband Wayne, Gregory and wife Mandi, Jeremy and wife Lucy, Chris and wife Sarah, Bryan and wife Kate, Oscar Jr., Grace, Matthew and wife Jennifer, Jonathan, Elaine, Melesia, Ted Jr, and wife Lorraine, Steven and wife Rachel, Joshua and wife Michelle, Jennifer, Nathan and wife Chelsey, Joseph, Mike Jr., Michelle and Samantha; his great grandchildren: Nelson, Bobbie Kate, Morgan Beverly, Liam, Kiley, Tarahlynn, Kaylee, Julian, Brenden, Benjamin, Ashley, Isaiah, Leah, Gabriel, Nykko; and his great, great grandchildren: Lianna, Aiden and Evan.
Fabe lived in Roswell for 73 years and worked as a general building contractor. He was a life- long charter member and Senior Deacon of Primera Spanish Baptist Church. His knowledge and skills of building were dedicated to the construction of church worship and educational buildings.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to family, friends and church members for their prayers and support during our fathers illness. Also our expression of profound gratitude to Roswell Hospice and the Chaves County Joy Center for their care and generosity.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the ministry of Primera Spanish Baptist Church in his memory.
Pallbearers will be Chris Castro, Roy Sena, Oscar Dodier Jr, Ted Valerio II, Matthew Sena, Nathan Sena, Steven Sena and Michael Sena Jr,. Honorary Pallbearers will be all other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
