Services will be held for Eva M. Cobos, 80, who passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, in Roswell, NM. The rosary will be recited by Gloria Martinez at 1:30pm on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Ballard Funeral Home, followed by funeral service officiated by Pastor Sergio Tirado at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at McBride Veterans Cemetery.
Eva was born August 28, 1941, in Carrizozo NM to Felipe and Annie Apodaca. She loved crafting with beads, going to the bingo, spending time with her family, and going up the mountain (the casino) as she called it with her sister Lorina. She was very proud of her family and always had a special place in her heart for all her in-laws. Eva was always willing to help others and she leaves a great legacy with many wonderful memories for her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Ralph Cobos Jr. and wife Shelly, Rudolph Cobos and wife Denise, Floyd Cobos and wife Mary, Richard Cobos and wife Valerie, all of Roswell. David Cobos and wife Lucy of Tempe AZ, and Ruben Cobos and wife Shonia of Bakersfield, California. Sisters Lorina Lara of Roswell, NM, Freida Apodaca of Texas, brothers Felipe Apodaca Jr., of Albuquerque, NM, Ray Apodaca and wife Josie of Oklahoma, Chris Apodaca of Roswell, NM, and Steve Silva of Albuquerque, NM. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces, and friends.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Ralph L. Cobos Sr., her parents Felipe and Annie Apodaca, sisters Marie De La Rosa, Aurelia Silva, and Estella Apodaca, brothers Nick Apodaca, Edward Apodaca, Joseph Apodaca, her twin brother Ramoncito Apodaca, and sons Richard Cobos Sr., Joe Salazar, and daughter Rose Salazar.
Those serving as pallbearers are Randy Cobos, Jacob Cobos, Alexander Gonzales, Andrew Cobos, Nicholas Cobos, and Anthony Lara. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren.
Following the service, we would like to invite everyone to share memories and a meal with the family at the 180 Building of Church On The Move, located at 901 W. Brasher Road.
