Eva Aragon

Eva Aragon, our beloved sister, was called to her eternal resting place on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Roswell, NM.

Eva was born December 20, 1949 in Duran, NM to Jimmy and Nora Madril.  She was one of 9 children.  Eva married the love of her life, Benny Aragon on October 17, 1970 in Roswell, NM.  Although Benny and Eva never had any children, they both loved and cherished all their nieces and nephews as their own.  Eva was a kindhearted woman who thought of others before herself.  She showed her hospitality to those she loved by always having a gift for them for every occasion.  She enjoyed spending time with those close to her, especially her sister Eufemia and niece Christina Gamboa.

Eva is survived by her sister Eufemia Romero of Roswell; brothers Ambrose (Josefina) Madril of Maricopa, AZ; Lou (Naomi) Madril of Roswell and Arnold (Clara) Madril of Roswell.  Sister-in-laws Jennifer Madril of Chinook, MT, Lydia Weimer of California, and Bertha Bish of Texas.

Preceding Eva in death are her husband Benny Aragon; brothers Tony Madril, James Madril; sisters Inez Tafoya and Mary Zamora; brother-in-law Joe Romero; sister-in-law Ester Romero; nephews Gilbert Romero and Louie Romero.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home Rosary for Eva is Friday, September 3, 2021 at 9:00 am at Ave Maria Center.  Mass to follow at 10:00 am then Eva will be taken to her final resting place at South Park Cemetery.  A reception will follow at The Ponderosa.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ambrose Madril, Lou Madril, Arnold Madril, Felix Romero, Roque Romero, Manuel Medina and Danny Longoria. Honorary pallbearers are all of Eva's nephews and nieces.
