Eugene was born on January 9, 1927 in El Paso, TX to Glen Van Walker and Elma Schultz Walker. His parents have preceded him in death as well as two brothers Glenn Walker and Billy Walker and one sister Ella Pearl Aaron.
Eugene married Maxine Collins on June 30, 1951 in Alamogordo, NM. His wife has preceded him in death.
Eugene was survived by his daughter; Janice Sue Polk of Ruidoso Downs, NM; his brother: Edward Walker and wife Pat of Camp Wood, TX; his two grandchildren: David Drabek of Gillett, Wyoming and Elizabeth Drabek of Roswell; a great grandchild: Tyler Jasso; a sister in law Jackie Wynn of Tucson, AZ, Helon Brown of San Angelo, TX and Marjory Ryan of Dallas, TX as well as several nieces and nephews.
Eugene served in the United States Navy. He worked as a Fireman in El Paso, TX for 30 years. He then moved to Roswell in 1975 and worked for Riteway Insulation for 20 years and then was the owner of Advance Insulation.
