Ester Romero

A rosary for Ester Romero, will be at 9:30 AM, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Assumption Catholic Church and a funeral mass at 10:00 AM with Fr. Josh Duplissey officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Ester entered the gates of heaven on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 after a brief battle to cancer.

Ester was born December 19, 1930 to Roque and Espirfia Romero in Mountainair, NM. Ester lived a long life; she was 85 and was loved by all her family. She enjoyed spoiling all her nieces and nephews. Ester never forgot a birthday for any of them.

Those left to carry on her memory are her sister-in-law's, Eufemia Romero, Eva Aragon; nieces and nephews, Evelyn and Danny Longoria, Lisa and Manuel Medina, Felix and Theresa Romero, and Roque Romero; 20 great nieces and nephews and 33 ½ great great nieces and nephews.

Ester was preceded in death by her parents, Roque and Espirfia Romero; brothers, Joe Romero and Benny Aragon; nephews, Gilbert Romero, Alfred Louie Romero and a special aunt, Frances "tia Kika" Brazfield.
Those serving as pallbearers will be her Godsons, Gilbert Romero Jr., and Johnny Medina; her nephews, Felix and Roque Romero; cousins, Tony and Jr. Brazfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Longoria, Manuel Medina, Sammy Gamboa and all her great nephews.

As I sit in Heaven and watch you every day, I try to let you know with signs, I never went away, I hear you when you're laughing and watch you as you sleep, I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep, I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home so I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone. Don't feel guilty that you have life that was denied to me. Heaven is truly beautiful just you wait and see so live your life, laugh again enjoy yourself, be free. Then I know with every breath you take you'll be taking one for me.
