Estefana Paez

Estefana N. Paez, 75, joined the lord on Sunday, February 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in Dexter, N.M. She was born on November 28, 1942 to Celso and Petra Nevarez.

She married her loving husband Eduardo Paez on July 13, 1959. She was a devoted housewife, loving mother and grandmother with a heart of gold that cherished every moment with her beloved family. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She had an infectious smile that lit up many lives.

She is survived by her children; Hilda and her husband Mateo Carrasco of Austin, TX, Tench and her husband Gustavo Martinez of Cebolla, NM, Tilly Paez of Dexter, NM, Melinda and husband James Fuentez of Houston, TX, Mini and husband Dennis Montanez of Roswell, NM, Hector Paez and wife Cindy of Cedar Creek, TX, Hugo Paez and wife Elsa of Dexter, NM. 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by one brother Daniel Nevarez, three sisters Juanita Ogas, Rosario Ruiz, and Lidia Nevarez.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her beloved husband, brothers; Blas, Miguel, Delfino and Esequiel Nevarez and one sister Celia Gutierrez.

Pallbearers are her grandsons; Mark, Jeffrey, Matthew, and Jonathan Carrasco, Justin Salas, James Michael Fuentez, Brandon Montanez, Hector Edward Paez, and Kevin "Blue" Paez. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters and great grandchildren.

A rosary will be held on Thursday February 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St Peters Catholic Church in Roswell, NM. Funeral mass will immediately follow with Father Charlie Martinez officiating. Interment to follow at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, NM.
