Ernestine Andrea Olveda, 47, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on August 15, 2009 in Lubbock. A rosary and prayer service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, 7:00 pm, at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Church on the Move on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery. Pastor Savino Sanchez will officiate.
Ernestine was born on October 5, 1961 in Roswell, New Mexico to Eristeo H. Herrera and Marcofla Sanchez. She relocated to Lubbock, Texas and was employed with the Bowman Lumber Company as the Office Manager. Ernestine married Margarito Olveda in Lubbock on February 11, 1995. He survives her at their family home in Lubbock, Texas.
Ernestine is also survived by her special niece who was like a daughter to her, Crystal A. Regalado of Lubbock, Texas; her brothers: Josem Herrera of Tucson, Arizona, Ernesto Herrera of Tucson, Arizona, James Herrera and wife, Tonya, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Daniel S. Herrera and his wife, Rose; her sisters: Grace Sanchez and husband, Savino, Mary Polaco and husband, Elfigo, Jr., Norma Jean Regalado and husband, Archie, and Sandra Vale, all of Roswell. Ernestine was preceded in death by one brother, Isreal Herrera, three sisters: Ameila Lucero, Prestinia Perches, and Magdalena Gomez, and one nephew, Andres Andresito Perches.
Pallbearers will be Jose Herrera, Ernesto Herrera, James Herrera, Daniel Herrera, Victor Gomez, Arturo Regalado, David Herrera, Jose Chito Herrera. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her nieces and nephews.
