Ernest was born on July 10, 1947 to Ernest Lewis Yearicks in St. Johns, Newfoundland. His father has preceded him in death.

Ernest married Louann Thompson on September 7, 1984 in Roswell. His wife survives him at the family home.

Ernest is also survived by his son: Ernest Lewis Yearicks III; and his daughter: Laura Yearicks.

Ernest has lived in Roswell for over 29 years and worked in maintenance at Prudential Grieves Group. Ernest was a model train enthusiast.
